On 13.05.2025 the first NFDI Networking Meeting took place at the University of Freiburg (UFR) initiated and organized by the Central Data Facility (CDF). The aim of the meeting, to better network the members of the existing participations in the several NFDI consortia at the UFR and to initiate a long-term exchange, was fully achieved. The Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Stefan Rensing, emphasized the importance of such meetings, especially in view of the UFR’s efforts to increase participation in the NFDI consortia and increase their visibility at the UFR.
The participants very much welcomed the CDF’s plan to organize and coordinate networking meetings at regular intervals in the future, as well as to enable further digital communication channels. Furthermore, the CDF will collect and make transparent information on the individual participations in the NFDI consortia at the UFR
