The Department of Research Partnerships and Structures (RPS) is the central point of contact for the University of Freiburg’s profile and emerging fields as well as research structures and facilities during the implementation phase and beyond. This is done in close cooperation with the participating researchers and the respective responsible departments of the Central University administration.
RPS covers the following areas of central research management:
- Research strategy (among others, office of the Research Board)
- Profile and emerging fields
- Excellence projects and research centers
- Research infrastructure (among others, office of the Research Infrastructure Board)
- Partnerships with external institutions (non-university research institutions, non-profit foundations)
